Dear Andrea
Thank you so much for leading the South Island trip we have just finished. Thanks to your excellent leadership and detailed organisation everything was so good. As the oldest in the group and the least able walker I did appreciate how you took care of me and made sure I still had a good time.
Please will you pass on my thanks to Steve also. He was very kind to me and took extra care with things like lifting my bag and walking with me at the end of the pack.

You’re invited to “run with kunanyi” – the famous mountain on Hobart’s doorstep that is rich in culture, history and incredibly diverse landscapes.
Every step a story. kMR is a 3 day trail running festival celebrating Hobart’s mountain culture, bringing trail runners, adventurers and the wider community together to feel the power of connection with kunanyi/Mount Wellington.
kMR was borne from a grassroots’ demand for an immersive event in Australia’s only mountain capital, and a vision for every runner, crew member and supporter to learn from and be inspired by the community’s connection with the mountain.
The palawa (Tasmanian Aboriginal community) generously welcome and share kunanyi with trail runners – whether you’re a seasoned ultra runner or reasonably new to running on trails.
When you move through wet ferny gullies, dolerite boulder fields, eucalypt forests, or under the famous Organ Pipes, you’ll be invited to explore and create your own connection with the sacred mountain, and hear the stories of it too, across the 3-day festival with activities at the runHub.
Come and share the story in March 2025
“Absolutely loved every step! Blown away that this event is only in its second year. It was so professionally run, course marking was perfect and the course was world class. Hobart is an amazing location with kunyani right on its doorstep. It was an honour to be in what I call trail running heaven”! #kMR2023 runner
