Depart Auckland on Air NZ morning flight direct to Hobart arriving 11:00am. Meet & Transfer to central accommodation. Settle, lunch and free afternoon. Supermarket shop for Breakfast items

WEDNESDAY 20 MARCH
Morning Guided Walking Tour of downtown Hobart. 2 hours. Lunch on the waterfront – choose from an array of takeaway meals from the floating barges along the wharf or one of the fine restaurants in the Port retail areas.
Free afternoon.
Join the Hobart Trail runners this evening for their weekly ½ hour jog out (as long or as short as required) and social pub gathering afterwards.
THURSDAY 21 MARCH
We take the Explorer Bus up to the 1270 metre summit of Mt Wellington / kunyani. Familiarise yourself with the view and the mountain layout. Enjoy the history, stats and stories from the provided commentary. Two hour return trip from Hobart.
Free afternoon.
Evening dinner at one of our selected Salamanca restaurants a short walk from our apartments.
FRIDAY 22 MARCH
RACE PROGRAMME BEGINS
Vertical Downhill Dash (9km). Check in at the Run Hub closes at 1:00pm.
Competitors bussed to start line. Racing between 3:00pm and finish 6:00pm
Race presentations at Run Hub 7:00pm
Ultra Solo & Relay, Mountain Run check in and gear check opens 3:00pm at Run Hub
6:00pm Official Opening Ceremony

Transfer to Run Hub (10 min drive)
5:00am Ultra Check in and Bag drop at Run Hub

MONDAY 25 MARCH
Enjoy an early morning recovery run along local river/bush walk (scaled to needs!)

*Guided 2.5hr kayak paddle tour of Hobart City waterfront with a paddle up Fish n Chip lunch included.
*Ferry up the Derwent river to MONA. Hobarts infamous Museum come Art Gallery.
*A day trip to Richmond. This colonial-era town has more than 50 Georgian buildings, meticulously restored and operating as cafes, restaurants and galleries. Richmond Bridge is the oldest in Australia, built by convicts in 1825. A true photographers destination.
*A full day tour to Port Arthur. Tasmania’s most famous convict settlement combines an idyllic coastal setting with a brutal history.
*A day to explore on your own.
TUESDAY 26 MARCH
A free morning before the airport transfer for Air NZ 12:30pm direct flight back to Auckland.
